The Town of Stratford has relaunched its 4.8 L Toilet Rebate Program, giving residents and businesses an opportunity to upgrade older toilets and reduce water use.
Toilets account for a large portion of indoor water use, making them one of the most effective fixtures to upgrade when looking to improve water efficiency.
Stratford is committed to building a sustainable community while protecting the natural environment we live in. Water conservation plays an important role in achieving this goal, and programs like the toilet rebate help residents take steps to reduce unnecessary water use in their homes and businesses. Small changes can make a big difference, and replacing older toilets is one of the simplest ways to reduce water use.
To help encourage residents to upgrade from old high flow toilets, the Town of Stratford is offering a $100 rebate toward the purchase and installation of a new low-flow 4.8-litre toilet. The rebate is available to Stratford Utility customers on a first-come, first-served basis, with one toilet eligible per residential unit or business at each property.
By upgrading to a more efficient toilet, residents and businesses can help conserve water, reduce pressure on municipal infrastructure, and lower both their overall water use and utility bills
