Account Summary

Here you’ll find the details of your Water & Sewer Utility account, including your account number. You will also find your total current water and sewer charges.

Billing Details

Here you’ll see the details of your current billing, any additional charges to your account, or unpaid balances. As a metered customer, you are charged a base and a usage charge for water and sewer. The base charge is a fixed amount based on your meter size. The usage charge is based on the amount of water you used during the billing period. These rates are approved by Charlottetown City Council each year.

Water Usage

This section gives you the details of water usage for your most recent bill. Your current usage is the amount of water you used in the last billing period and is displayed in cubic metres. The average usage in litres per day gives you an idea of how much water you use on a daily basis. The average cost per day is also indicated which includes both your water and sewer charges. These numbers will change based on the amount of water you use in each billing period.

Your Usage History

This section gives a summary of your bills over the last year so you can compare your current usage with the previous usage. Water use is displayed in both the total amount in cubic metres and the average usage per day in litres. Any changes in the activities or occupancy at your property will show variation in the amount of water you use. If you notice a large change in your water usage and cannot explain it, be sure to check your property for leaks.
