Fixtures & Appliances

When selecting fixtures and appliances, look for the Energy Star® certification logo (dishwasher, clothes washer) and the WaterSense logo (showerheads, bathroom faucets, toilets).

EnergyStar-logoENERGY STAR® is the government-backed symbol for energy efficiency.  Products can earn the ENERGY STAR label by meeting the energy efficiency requirements set forth in ENERGY STAR product specifications.

WaterSense-logoWaterSense identifies a water-efficient product that has been independently certified to meet EPA WaterSense criteria for efficiency and performance.  The organization that certified the product is identified below the label.

MaP-logoMaP stands for Maximum Performance and is a voluntary and independent testing program that tests the ability of a toilet to use one single flush to clear solid waste.  The MaP score represents the number of grams of solid waste that a particular toilet can flush completely in a single flush, therefore not wasting water with a second flush.

How to find Model Number on Dishwasher and Washing Machine

How-to-find-number-on-washer

  1. On the top of the door jamb, to the left, right, or in the center.
  2. On the upper left-hand corner of the unit’s frame.
  3. On the door itself, to the left, or in the center.
  4. On the underside of the control panel.

*For portable dishwashers, check either on the back of the unit or on the side of the hose storage.

Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance’s model number tag may look similar to the model number plate shown here.
